Get into the old-time Christmas spirit early at the annual Christmas Open House for the historic 1820s Bryant House and 1760s McLendon Cabin. The houses will be decorated in nature’s greenery. Enjoy old-time decorations, warm apple cider and homemade cookies. Musical selections peppered with Christmas favorites will be provided by Hammer ‘n Song and students of the UPHS orchestra. Golf carts will be available for traveling to and from the sand field parking area to the houses.
The Moore County Historical Association and Friends of the Bryant House will host the event so every Yule visitor can get a little taste of how early settlers celebrated Christmas. The date and address for this free event will take place on Sunday, December 8th at 3361 Mt. Carmel Rd., Carthage NC.
